Mental
Wellbeing

At Miranda Musical Theatre Company, we have always cared for the members of our community theatre family and this care extends to the care of our mental and emotional health. To this end, we have established this Mental Wellbeing page on our web site to enable and empower anyone to understand they are not alone and to have access the full options of help available.

Please make use of anything you see here that may provide assistance to anyone in crisis.

Support Services

Everybody goes through tough times in their lives, but sometimes that suffering can reach a point that feels unbearable. Sometimes that distress may even take hold in the form of a mental illness.

While the entertainment industry can bring a great deal of joy to people, recent research has shown that participants can experience particular stressors and challenges that can affect their mental health. When someone is mentally and emotionally distressed, they can often feel alone and without hope… and sometimes forget to notice and turn to the help that is all around them. Assistance for those experiencing mental and emotional distress is readily available, with services to help overcome both immediate crises and longer term mental health issues.

Phone 13 11 14 for free telephone crisis support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
